Joseph Maggi's proud tradition began with his grandparents who launched their food service careers in Milan, Italy at the turn of the century. Their restaurant served dishes originated in Northern Italy and fresh fish from in and around the region.
Joseph's Maggi's parents continued that tradition with Maggi's Restaurant in Wallingford, Connecticut for over 25 years. They retired in 1979 and moved to Florida where their son, Joseph had been since 1976. Four years later, "The Fish Grill" was born and Joseph developed the Maggi name in Florida and continues upholding the family tradition and reputation of fine dining.
"The Fish Grill" was an instant favorite for both local and visiting diners. Maggi uses only the freshest fish and seafood. This has earned him much recognition throughout the community and surrounding area and has attracted a loyal following of Florida residents. The Fish Grill was sold to real estate developers in 2001 prior to the opening of Joseph's On The Water.
Joseph's On The Water continues to be owned and operated under the founding Maggi family tradition. Mr. Maggi inspects all fish and seafood personally upon arrival to the restaurant.
